The line up of Homeschool Day Programs for the 2026-2027 school year is live on our website and tickets are available NOW! Don’t delay in reserving your tickets, as programs tend to sell out.The first program is right around the corner on August 21. See you soon.

Home-school Days allow individual families to attend and participate in an educational field trip experience and provide an opportunity to meet other homeschooling families. On Home-school Days there is no minimum group number required in order to attend, families are welcome to come on their own.

Make plans to visit the Smyrna Public Library this Saturday August 1st to commemorate America 250.🇺🇸 The Sam Davis Home booth will be along the walking trail, with cool artifacts and fun things to share as you Walk through History.🇺🇸

We are so excited for Miss Polly's Tea Room and Boutique Venue to open on August 8th and our visitors will be able to grab lunch or plan ahead and book a group for afternoon tea!

The lunch menu is live! Along with lunch combos we will have picnic packs to have lunch on the grounds! Our meat and cheese tray is the perfect option for a quick snack after touring rhe Historic Sam Davis Home and Museum. Come see us!

Throughout the summer months, several of the objects on display in the museum are being cleaned and photographed.

Sam's watch was cleaned this week and we thought we'd share some photos.

The watch was made by MJ Tobias of Liverpool in the early 1860s and it is called a 'Patent Lever" watch with a Swiss movement. Fine timepieces like this one were sold by Nashville retailers prior to the Civil War.
The watch and several other personal items were left with a hotel keeper in Pulaski prior to Sam's ex*****on in 1863. John Kennedy and Oscar Davis retrieved the items when they arrived in Pulaski to collect Sam's remains. The watch was a cherished keepsake kept by Sam's Mother, Jane Davis, until her death.
