We're thrilled to introduce one of our special guests for Wardenclyffe Science Pub on June 10th — meet Frank M. Longo.

Frank is a Professor of Astronomy and Physical Sciences County Community College, an astrophotographer, amateur astronomer, puppet builder, and proud jack of all trades who believes almost anything can be reused, recycled, reimagined, repaired, or turned into something cooler than it started as.

His friends call him Mr. Wizard — and honestly, it fits perfectly. The original Mr. Wizard was one of Frank's childhood idols and a big reason he fell in love with science in the first place. That same energy is alive and well: Frank's all about making science hands-on, making it magical, and proving that imagination is one of the best tools in the shop.

Sound familiar? Yeah — we thought he'd feel right at home at Wardenclyffe. ⚡

What does it feel like to stand where history was almost made?

You can find out.

The original Wardenclyffe laboratory, the last remaining piece of Nikola Tesla's most ambitious dream, sits on 16 acres in Shoreham, NY. The brick walls are still standing. The tower foundation is still in the ground. The bronze statue of Nikola looks out over the same land where, in 1901, he tried to give the world free wireless power.

Our guided tours bring the whole story to life. You'll hear about the vision, the science, and what it means that this place survived.

90 minutes. Small groups. The real thing.

The lineup is here and we could not be more excited! 🎉

Join us for Wardenclyffe Science Pub on June 10th at Blue Point Brewpub in Patchogue, NY and spend the evening with three brilliant guest speakers, each bringing a fascinating corner of science to life.

🔭 Frank M. Longo is a professor of astronomy and physical sciences at Suffolk County Community College, a maker, astrophotographer, amateur astronomer, and proud jack of all trades whose friends call him Mr. Wizard for good reason. Frank will be talking radio astronomy and bringing his signature hands-on, anything-is-possible energy to the conversation.

🚁 Thomas Schulz, Public Programs Coordinator at the Cradle of Aviation Museum, brings a background in aerospace engineering and a deep passion for Long Island's scientific legacy. Thomas will be talking drone technology and the engineering history behind one of today's most exciting fields.

⚛️ Alex Jentsch is an Associate Staff Scientist at Brookhaven National Laboratory, where he works on research and development for the future Electron Ion Collider. Alex will be talking particle accelerators and giving us an inside look at some of the most ambitious physics happening anywhere in the world, right in our own backyard.

Three remarkable speakers. Three topics that would have made Nikola himself pull up a barstool. ⚡

Tickets are available now at teslasciencecenter.org. Spots fill up fast, so don't wait!

⚡ We are so excited to welcome BioBus, sponsored by National Grid, to the 2026 Nikola Tesla Expo!

BioBus brings hands-on science directly to K-12 and college students with a mission close to our hearts: making sure every student has the opportunity to reach their full scientific potential.

That's exactly the spirit of innovation Nikola Tesla embodied, and exactly what we celebrate every year at the Expo.

Come meet the BioBus team on July 11th and see this incredible organization in action!

⚡ We're so excited to start sharing what's in store for the 2026 Nikola Tesla Expo!

We're thrilled to welcome Samantha Augeri of Sam's Weather School to this year's Kids Stage!

Samantha is a Long Island Emmy Award-winning meteorologist with nearly 20 years on TV, and she's bringing thunderstorms, lightning, and severe weather to life with plasma globes, a Van de Graaff generator, a Tesla coil, and a giant storm cloud. ⛈️

At Sam's Weather School, kids don't just learn about weather — they experience it.

This is just the beginning. Grab your tickets and come see what we have planned.

Looking for something the whole family will love this weekend? ⚡

One of our recent visitors said it best: "It was immensely interesting and conversational, and the guides answered every random question we had."

Our Wizard of Wardenclyffe Family Tour was made for curious kids and the adults who love them. Families explore the historic grounds of Nikola Tesla's last remaining laboratory through hands-on challenges — building Tesla's tower, racing through the War of Currents, and discovering the science behind static electricity and circuits.

History, science, and adventure — right here on Long Island.

Tours run Fridays–Sundays, 9:30 AM–1:30 PM, March 20–November 15. Groups are limited to 8 guests and reservations are required — book your family's spot at teslasciencecenter.org/tours/ or call 631-886-2632.
