What is art? What does it mean to those who create it? To those who experience it?

In the first of a series of videos from the opening of my new exhibit, I reflect on that very question, sharing a few quotes from famous artists that really stood out to me.

A big thank you to everyone who made it to last night’s opening reception for my new art wall exhibition at Arts Culture Catawba

This exhibit includes work old and new. The challenges I addressed decades ago remain unaddressed. To problems such as racism, poverty, ignorance, intolerance, and corruption on every level, we have added climate collapse and the unknown potential / threat of AI.

My goal as an artist is to promote thoughtful reflection and conversation that leads to action.

We are a community. We must be courageous together. Art must help point the way.

My new exhibit is open through the end of December - I hope you’ll pay a visit and see which pieces speak to you the most.
