CAN I STILL PURCHASE A TICKET?
Yes! Tickets are available at admissions for $15 per person ages 3 and up. Heritage Village Museum members, Military with ID, and children ages 2 and under receive free admission!

WILL THE HEADLESS HORSEMAN BE THERE?
No. Unfortunately she broke her foot and was unable to be with us this year. Cross your fingers for 2027!

Opening Night of Haunted Village was a success! Thank you to our incredible volunteers and candy donors. With a very small staff, Heritage Village Museum relies on volunteers to bring Haunted Village to life each year. Whether you decorated, acted, handed out candy, or helped behind the scenes, this event would not be possible without you.

Haunted Village is more than a fun Halloween tradition. It is Heritage Village Museum's largest fundraiser of the year. Although we are located within Sharon Woods, we are a separate nonprofit organization that receives no tax dollars. Your admission helps us preserve our 13 historic buildings and continue providing quality educational programs for our community.

There's still plenty of spooky fun ahead, and we need volunteers for the remaining weekends.
We also have a special request: our Headless Horseman was recently injured and is unable to participate for the remainder of the event. If you know an experienced horseperson with a suitable horse who would be interested in taking on this iconic role, please contact us.

Thank you to everyone who attended opening night, donated candy, volunteered, and supported Heritage Village Museum. We can't wait to welcome more brave adventurers through our gates tonight and over the next two weekends!

CAN I STILL PURCHASE A TICKET?

WHY IS NO ONE ANSWERING THE PHONE WHEN I CALL?
As we prepare for Haunted Village, our limited staff is out in the Village preparing a frightfully fun evening for you and your family.

I PURCHASED A TICKET, BUT THERE WAS NOTHING TO DOWNLOAD. CAN I STILL GET IN?
Absolutely! If you purchased tickets in advance, your name will be on our pre-registration list at admissions. Simply provide the name used when purchasing your tickets.

WHAT TIME DOES THE EVENT OPEN?
Our gates open at 6 p.m., and the spooky fun continues until 10 p.m. Admissions closes at 9 p.m. Feel free to arrive anytime between 6 and 9 p.m. to enjoy the festivities.

WHAT AGES IS HAUNTED VILLAGE DESIGNED FOR?
Haunted Village is designed to offer Halloween fun for visitors of all ages! Whether you're bringing little ones for their first Halloween adventure, enjoying a family night out, or simply love all things spooky, there's something for everyone.

WHERE DO WE PARK? IS THERE A PARKING FEE?
Parking is available in the Sharon Centre parking lot. Please note that visitors may be subject to Great Parks vehicle permit fees, with daily passes ranging from $5–$8.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
A little rain won't scare away our spirits! 👻Haunted Village takes place rain or shine! We recommend checking the forecast and dressing appropriately for the weather.

CAN I BRING A STROLLER OR WAGON?
Absolutely! Strollers and wagons are welcome throughout the Village. However, we ask that you leave them outside when entering our historic buildings to help protect these treasured spaces.

ARE PETS ALLOWED?
As much as we love our furry friends, Heritage Village Museum is a pet-free facility. Only trained service dogs are permitted inside the Village.

IS HERITAGE VILLAGE MUSEUM ACCESSIBLE?
We strive to make Heritage Village Museum welcoming and accessible to all visitors. Many of our historic buildings are equipped with ramps, although some entrances and interior spaces may present challenges. Village pathways consist primarily of packed rock, which can become more difficult to navigate during wet weather. For Haunted Village, accessible portable restrooms are available for guests.

We are still looking for more volunteers to help with balloon twisting. Mike can train you before the event starts. Watch how quickly Ken learns balloon twisting!

We confess ourselves quite astonished—and delighted—by the haste with which tickets are being claimed! It would appear that the prospect of a new social season has caused no small amount of excitement.

🌹 Jane Austen Festival 2027: Season of Suitors

However, a little matter of clarification has reached our ears, and we simply cannot allow a misunderstanding to become the latest piece of village gossip. Season of Suitors is the THEME of the festival. It is not a gathering exclusively for those in want of a husband or wife, nor must one arrive romantically attached to gain admittance! Whether you are single, married, courting, happily unattached, attending with friends, bringing your family, or simply possessed of an unwavering devotion to Miss Austen, you shall find yourself most welcome. No suitor is required! 😉
