Ten By Ten may be small in size, but nobody told the artists to think small.

Alongside traditional two-dimensional work, youโ€™ll find artists working in ceramics, metal, glass, jewelry, wood, and more ~ all finding clever ways to work within that deceptively tiny 10-inch limit. The challenge has inspired artists to play with scale, texture, dimension, materials, and presentation in some wonderfully unexpected ways.

With more than 80 artists taking on the same challenge, the results are wildly varied, wonderfully inventive, and anything but predictable.

Julieโ€™s love affair ๐Ÿ’™with the beach started during childhood summers ๐Ÿ˜Žin New England, where she collected shells she still has today. Clearly, this was never just a phase.

After a career as a teacher and librarian ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ“–, Julie and her husband settled in Sequim, where she now spends her days creatingโ€”and walking local beaches with her dogs ๐Ÿพin search of shells, driftwood, sea glass, and other salty little treasures. Those finds become coastal-inspired mixed media pieces that bring the beauty, texture, and stories of the ocean indoors.

Her hope? ๐ŸคžThat her art sparks a memory of a beach, an adventure, or one of those wonderfully ordinary moments that somehow sticks with you.

Thereโ€™s something special about watching a young artist discover where creativity might take themโ€”and Kai Nelson has an exciting road ahead. ๐Ÿ‘€

๐ŸŽ“A senior at Sequim High School, Kai has been creating for as long as he can remember, from doodles on math papers to wonderfully detailed ceramic sculptures. Drawn to the dark๐ŸงŸโ€โ™€๏ธ, gothic, and delightfully unusual๐ŸŒš, he especially loves working with clay and getting lost in the details. ๐Ÿฆ‡

After graduation, Kai hopes to attend art college and eventually become a tattoo artist and body piercer, building a future around art, individuality, and self-expression.
