Tomorrow at Blue Whole Gallery, June 10th from 2-3pm, “A Run-In with Wildlife,” Olympic Peninsula Authors - OPA invites you to join them for stories inspired by unexpected encounters with nature — from wasps in the attic and close calls with moose to foxes who decide to move in. The public is invited to enjoy an afternoon of original readings, humor, and storytelling inspired by the wild side of life.

Admission is free and all are welcome.

Join with us as Blue Whole Gallery celebrates a milestone, we will host an anniversary exhibition, “At 29, We Still Shine,” opening this evening 5-8pm. The showcase will feature a collection of works from present gallery artists, highlighting the “Shine” of the gallery.

“This anniversary is not about looking back—it’s about honoring the artists, patrons, and community members who continue to make Blue Whole thrive,” said Barb Boerigter, founding member. “At 29, we still shine because of the passion and connection that art brings into people’s lives.”

We are excited to introduce June’s Student Artist, Peter Duppenthaler. Peter is a 76 year old student of pottery at Peninsula College. He’s always enjoyed working with his hands and the pottery classes have given him the opportunity to explore different types of clays, glazes and firing techniques. Peter also loves working with wood and is a member of the Driftwood Sculpture Club in Sequim. Come meet Peter this coming June 5th during Sequim’s First Friday Art Walk.

Blue Whole Gallery is proud to announce the celebration of its 29th anniversary this June, marking nearly three decades of championing artists, fostering creativity, and enriching the cultural landscape of Sequim and the surrounding area.

To commemorate this milestone, Blue Whole Gallery will host an anniversary exhibition, “At 29, We Still Shine,” opening First Friday, June 5th. The showcase will feature a collection of works from present gallery artists, highlighting the “Shine” of the gallery. We hope to see you there!
