MILAP 2026 - Registration now open
Launched by IPAP Seattle in 2024, the MILAP (Music of India – Learn and Aspire Project) initiative offers youth and adults in the Greater Seattle area a collaborative space to learn, share, and perform their musical arts. By bringing students of melodic and percussion instruments together, the program fosters a strong sense of community, motivating participants to stay inspired and dedicated to their craft for years to come.

It was a pleasure conducting lecture demonstration sessions at Tyee Middle School in Bellevue. We had a wonderful time engaging with the students, teaching them the basics of Indian classical music, and introducing them to four traditional instruments: the Bansuri, Harmonium, Sitar, and Tabla. A special thank you to the Tyee Middle School music faculty and for making this event possible. The sessions were proudly led by Deepashri Joglekar of the Swarasamwadini Music School and Sampada Bhalerao of the Pacific School of Indian Music, alongside Satyajit Limaye.
