We have new works in the gallery by Seattle based artist Michelle Robinson. Here is a glimpse at two selected paintings from her ‘Bare Together’ series, included in her debut solo exhibition, on view through September.

“In Bare, Together, the body is not exposed. It is revealed. Each figure stands unguarded, not in isolation but in alliance. Vulnerability becomes a shared language that dissolves the boundary between self and other. What might feel fragile alone becomes something resolute, and even defiant.

These forms do not perform for the gaze. They exist for one another. In their closeness, there is power and understanding. Strength does not always arrive armored. It can emerge through softness, trust and presence.” -Michelle Robinson

Michelle Robinson || August 2026

We are delighted to announce the debut solo exhibition of Michelle Robinson at Hall Spassov. Originating from Los Angeles, Robinson is a self-taught artist currently based in Seattle, Washington. Over the course of two decades, she has gained international recognition for her acrylic and gold leaf paintings that delve into layered masking techniques. These compositions seamlessly blend architectural elements with natural and organic forms.

Robinson’s works explore the concepts of balance, structure, and the pursuit of order through texture, light, and shape. Her works create contemplative spaces that encourage viewers to pause and discover personal significance within each piece. Working intuitively beyond conventional academic training, Robinson has cultivated a distinctive visual language rooted in experimentation and instinct. As her practice continues to evolve between precise symmetry and expressive imbalance, she creates spaces that evoke both a grounded and otherworldly experience.

The dust has settled ||
The seven intense days it took to build out our space only took one day to disassemble. That’s a wrap!

Last Wednesday we not only had the pleasure of seeing our space come to fruition but the Assembly Art Fair in its entirety come together. With esteemed galleries from near and far, the talent was on display and thousands of visitors came through to see it all.

Thank you for joining us, for sharing your experiences and for your support of the arts. Thank you to our colleagues, collectors, exhibiting artists, and new friends alike. We loved being a part of this inaugural event.
