Join us on July 23rd, 6:00PM at Herreshoff Marine Museum in Rhode Island for a special event celebrating yachting’s most successful partnerships: designer Nathanael G. Herreshoff and Scottish skipper Charlie Barr.

Marine artist Shane Couch and great-grandson of Charlie Barr, Alasdair Purves, will be sharing their insights into this golden era of yacht racing.

Shane Couch is known for his historically precise and highly acclaimed photorealistic oil paintings. His most recent accolade is being awarded Best in Show by the American Society of Marine Artists.

Alasdair Purves is a keen sailor of classic yachts and has spent years piecing together Barr’s untold story — tracing his journey from a young Scottie fisherman to America’s most celebrated racing skipper.

Klevenskiy graduated with a degree in Art Design of Feature Films and TV from the All-Russian Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) in Moscow, Russia.
