Installing late this week; bG Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition by contemporary artist Ellieus, opening Sunday, November 10 from 12–4 PM. The exhibition will be on view May 8 through May 23 at bG Gallery, located at Bergamot Station Arts Center in Santa Monica.

Opening Reception: Sunday, November 10, 12–4 PM
Exhibition Dates: May 8 – May 23
Special Event: Gallery Walkthrough – March 16, 3–6 PM (Bergamot Station Spring Open, 12–9 PM)

Ellieus is a contemporary painter and sculptor whose practice investigates transformation, emotional fragmentation, and the inner architecture of identity. Her work is rooted in layered abstraction and material experimentation, exploring themes of vulnerability, resilience, memory, and renewal. Her artistic foundation includes studies in graphic design and oil painting at Tehran University, complemented by training in illustration, mythological drawing, and sculpture. Working between control and surrender, her process mirrors psychological and emotional landscapes—layered, disrupted, and reconstructed into a visual language that is both deeply personal and universally resonant.

Special one day event at this Sunday 3-7pm !

Zox, celebrated for his iconic contributions to music history—including the debut album cover art direction for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakersand the original painting for Steely Dan’s The Royal Scam—announces a series of oil-on-canvas portraits as he marks the 50th anniversaries of these landmark works in 2026.

The pop-up show will be on display at bG Gallery at on May 3, 2026 3-7pm.

Zox’s exhibition Beyond Fame highlights 30 oil paintings exploring the human as icon. The show includes striking portraits of music legends such as Bob Marley, Billy Idol, Debbie Harry, Keith Richards and Jim Morrison, alongside mythological and contemporary figures like Cleopatra, Venus, Athena and original hybrids  Mona LiChe Gold, Kiss of Freedom and The Dance.

This shift from the conceptual explorations in his acclaimed experimental films FUTURE OF ART (a 13-time award-winner of international film festivals with collaborator Cru) to the tactile depth of oil painting bridges the artist’s storied legacy in rock ‘n’ roll imagery.

Santa Monica-based multidisciplinary artist Zox has shaped visual culture through album art, photography, film and painting for decades. His work spans Hollywood roots to global recognition, blending celebrity portraiture, myth, and bold expression.
