The Zimmerman Automobile Driving Museum in El Segundo, California is unfortunately closing their doors at the end of 2024.

Did you know?

The world's first camera actually didn’t take photographs, it instead acted as a drawing aide.
When was the first camera invented? The first device able to reproduce and capture an image was invented in 1816 by Joseph Nicéphore Niépce and was called the heliograph. In 1839, Louis Daguerre created the daguerreotype, which was much closer to the photographic camera concept we know today.

We don't have a heliograph on display but we do have over 3,000 cameras on display from 1800- modern.

The museum features over two dozen automobiles from 1886 to 1933. Each car highlights advances in technology at the very beginning of car manufacturing.
