Here's a little history for you: The Studebaker Land Cruiser ceased production in 1954. Toyota at the time had a BJT "Jeep", but Willys Overland trademarked the name "Jeep" and barred Toyota from any further use of the name. Then on June 24, 1954, Toyota Technical Director Hanji Umehara named the Toyota off-roader the Land Cruiser. Coincidence?

ICYMI In the market for awnings or suspension. Ironman 4x4 America has some crazy deals going on now.
Stopped in Salt Lake City last week with my family to get my dose of Cruiser-ness and really enjoyed the visit. Dan Busey made our tour come alive with his intimate knowledge of the display vehicles and the heritage of this unique vehicle. My family also had a great time because there is a lot of interest even if you are merely married to a Cruiserhead, or lucky enough to be the son or daughter of one! Highly recommended as a must-stop.
