Join us on the evening of July 18th from 6-8pm for the Opening Reception to celebrate the artist! This event features free admission, charcuterie, beverages, live music, and a chance to meet the artist.

A devoted father and husband, with a full time career, Christian Whitton finds time for art in the quiet still of the night. Though his days are full, he’s drawn to the freedom of paint and canvas—where he brings to life haunting trees, solemn portraits, and echoes of the past.

A New England local, Christian is Inspired by the rich history, nature, and forgotten faces of New England, his work blends darkness with beauty. Each piece is a reflection of his world: rooted in love, shaped by struggle, and lit by a quiet, enduring fire.

There’s only about a month left to submit to our Open Call For Art inspired by the 3rd tenet of TST!

If you have submitted and are awaiting acceptance/rejection you will be notified via email by August 8th.

The Salem Art Gallery is seeking artwork inspired by the third tenant of The Satanic Temple, “One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.” Any artwork of qualifying media depicting themes of bodily autonomy is eligible for submission.

If your artwork is chosen you will have the opportunity to display and sell your work in the Salem Art Gallery located within the Satanic Temple HQ. Upon acceptance, you will receive a consignment agreement/artist contract that you should read through before signing. Chosen Artwork will be on display November 17th 2025-March 16th 2026. Written submissions will be displayed in zine format.
