🌧🌈 Rain or shine, we Wiggle! 🌳💚

A little rain won't stop us from playing, exploring, and growing together! ☂💛 Wiggle Worm is STILL HAPPENING TODAY!

Grab your rain boots, bundle up, and come join us! Some of the best memories (and learning) happen when we embrace a little mud, jump in a few puddles, and look for worms! 💦✨

See you soon!

This is what we are imagining!🌳💚

While the grown-ups were busy dreaming up the future of The Wonder Grove at this morning's community meeting, the kids were doing what they do best...PLAYING!

We are back in the morning, **MONDAY, October 12 at 9am***! Come see for yourself a potential site and help us imagine what a wonderful space this could become.

We know many schools are closed tomorrow in observance of Indigenous Peoples' Day, so bring the kids along! Who better to help design an outdoor children's museum than the children who will play there?

Big dreams start with community. Come be part of ours and see the possibilities for yourself.✨

🌳 What if this could become something extraordinary?

Imagine a place where children climb, create, explore, get messy, and discover the wonders of nature.

Imagine an outdoor children's museum right here in West Sacramento. A place that brings families together, connects children with nature, and becomes a regional destination for generations to come.

✨ That dream could be closer than ever.

The Wonder Grove is pursuing a once-in-a-generation opportunity for up to $8.5 million in state grant funding to help acquire land and create a permanent outdoor children's museum.

But we can't do it alone. We need to secure a site, build partnerships, and show just how much our community wants this to happen.

💚 Big dreams take a whole community.

Join us at our community design meetings to share your ideas, imagine what's possible, and help shape the future of The Wonder Grove. Details here: https://www.thewondergrove.org/imaginethewondergrove

This is what play looks like! 🌿

Building. Creating. Exploring. Getting messy. Making friends. And getting completely lost in PLAY!

The magic of the Day of Play goes beyond the activities. It's about coming together in community, making connections, sharing experiences, and creating spaces where children can simply explore and belong.

Thank you to every family, volunteer, partner, and community member who made The Wonder Groves Day of Play such an incredible morning. There were nearly 400 of you!

A HUGE shout out to the organizations that helped make the day possible:

🌟 Association of Children’s Museums (ACM), Nickelodeon, and Yolo Kids for grant support

📦 IKEA USA for the truckload of cardboard that fueled some BIG imaginations and joining the fun!

🏫 Elkhorn Village Elem. School for hosting

✨️ West Sacramento Home Run and yolocountylibrary for always supporting families

It takes a community to create moments like these and we're so grateful to be part of one that believes in the power of play!💚
