Captured in California's San Joaquin Valley, photographer Dorthea Lange's striking 1936 portrait of a young cotton picker is the central image in our new exhibit, "Help Wanted / Leave Now: 'Operation We***ck' & the Revolving Door of Mass Deportation." The exhibit features many images from Lange, whose powerful photography reveals the real people whose labor has underpinned much of America's economic growth.

This World Photography Day, we invite you to discover the work of era-defining photographer and inductee Dorothea Lange in "Help Wanted / Leave Now," and at the kiosk in the exhibit.
