Person County Historical Society, Inc Dedicated to the preservation of our local history, cemeteries and help with genealogy. These meetings are open to the public.

We are currently meeting at the Person County Senior Center Social Hall, 87 Semora Rd., Roxboro NC, on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. We welcome new members to come and help preserve our rich history here in Person County.

This is a really great look into the past in Person county.....

Come experience a piece of Person County history at the Shorty Lawson Museum Open House! 🏠

Join the Person County Museum of History at the Shorty Lawson Museum of the Black Tenant Farmer on Saturday, October 10 from 10:30 AM–3 PM in Hurdle Mills.

Guided tours will be offered at 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM. This is a free event, but registration is required.

Dave Bradsher, 84, of Roxboro and lifelong broadcaster, passed away peacefully today at home. He loved being a part of your lives all these years.

Thanks go to Steve Hester and Gean Gentry for their help in manning the booth Saturday.
