We had a great time welcoming adults to Mimms Museum for our Robotics Adventure Camp, where participants explored the fundamentals of building, programming and problem-solving with VEX Robotics alongside instructors from STREM HQ Tech Academy.

Students can see what they're learning in class via our gamified Interactive Digital Tour filled with puzzles, clues, and other activities that guide them through the museum.

👀 Behind the scenes at Mimms Museum with Lonnie!

Meet the Programma 101, an early programmable calculator made by Olivetti and introduced at the 1964 World's Fair in New York.

So, what is it doing in the Apollo exhibit? NASA purchased 10 Programma 101 computers early in the Apollo program to handle tasks that didn't require the processing power of the agency's mainframe computers.🚀

Fully programmable and often considered one of the earliest personal computers, the Programma 101 is a fascinating look at the technology that helped pave the way for the computers we use today.

🤖 Robotics Adventure Camp — Adults Only!

Why should the kids have all the fun? Join us Friday, August 28 from 6:00–9:00 PM for a hands-on evening with VEX Robotics, designed just for grown-ups.

No experience necessary — instructors from STREM HQ will walk you step-by-step through building, programming, and problem-solving a complete robotics project. All materials and equipment provided. Just bring your curiosity! 🛠️

🧩 Piece by piece, the competition came together!

Our Speed Puzzling event brought teams together for an evening of strategy, teamwork and plenty of friendly competition as they raced to complete a 500-piece puzzle. 🏆 The first three to four tables finished in just 30 minutes!

The best part? Everyone got to take their puzzle home after the final piece was placed!
