As we step into the final stretch of America's SemiQuincentennial year, the Historical Society of Old Randolph is happy to announce our annual Holiday Open House at the Randolph Museum on Saturday, December 5th, 1pm-4pm.

This year, we are very excited to feature the talented Original Metropolitan Saxophone Quartet at the event.
Founded over 25 years ago by Dr. Lou Iozzi, the quartet's members hail from Essex County, Sussex County, and our very own Randolph. They will be performing a mix of patriotic and holiday classics!

Everyone in the Randolph community and beyond is invited to join us!! Admissions are free.

Randolph Museum is located at 630 Millbrook Ave., Randolph NJ 07869, on the left at the entrance to Freedom Park.

The Holiday Open House is Historical Society of Old Randolph's annual event featuring live music and light holiday refreshments. It also marks the last of our programs for 2026, following which the museum will be temporarily closed until the Spring of 2027.

We are open tomorrow, Sunday, October 18th 2026, 1pm-4pm.

Be inspired by our latest exhibit, featuring a rare 'chain shot' from the Battle of Springfield, NJ, on loan from a private collector for a limited time only. This powerful piece of Revolutionary War history is a reminder of the bravery, resilience, and determination of our nation's founders when they faced the daunting task of defending their young nation against the British and Hessian armies who planned to attack General Washington's troops at Morristown. Learn about the strategic importance of the Battle of Springfield during the American Revolutionary War and how it played a crucial role in the Continental Army's ultimate victory.

The Historical Society of Old Randolph warmly invites the community to the last of Randolph Reminisces program of 2026 on Monday, October 19th, at 7pm at the Randolph Township Library located at 28 Calais Rd., Randolph NJ, 07869.

Join guest speaker, railroad historian Bob Bahrs, for an enlightening presentation on the Lackawanna Rail Road in Randolph Township. The presentation will feature an impressive cache of over 100 vintage images of Randolph's Railways.

Whether you lived through the railroad era or are discovering its story for the first time, you'll appreciate this captivating exploration of our town's rich heritage.
Gather your friends and family for an evening celebrating Randolph's rich history and the stories that connect us all.

Reserve your tickets NOW! Limited seats, reservations are first come first served!

An approximately two and half hour long tour led by a knowledgeable guide, will delve into the history and significance of Randolph's iconic sites.

Randolph Museum is located on the left at the entrance to the Freedom Park. Parking is available in the Freedom Park lot. Look for blue signs to the entrance/door to the museum.

The Randolph Museum is listed under "Historical Society of Old Randolph" on the RED tour.
Tours at the Randolph Museum can be either self guided or docent guided.

The Randolph Museum has joined forces with 32 historic sites, stewarded by 28 by Morris County’s smallest history organizations, in collaboration with Pathways of History. Together, they will all open their doors at the same time to welcome visitors for the largest event yet celebrating history, community, and friendship.
Now in its 17th year, this event provides a great opportunity for families to go on an enlightening historical journey.

The Randolph Museum is located on the left at the entrance to the Freedom Park. Parking is available in Freedom Park lot. Two Handicapped Accessible spaces are available near the walking path to the Museum. Follow the blue signs from the parking lot at Freedom Park, to the museum’s entrance/door.
P.S: If you are unable to find a parking spot by the Randolph Museum, there will be plenty available on the field across the street from the museum.

Make sure to visit the Randolph Museum, a featured stop on the RED Tour. Its artifacts are thoughtfully arranged by room and exhibit, creating an engaging experience throughout. Younger visitors can explore magnetite ore—once mined locally—through hands-on learning, discovering how it looks and feels. Children can also step back in time by trying on 1800s-era clothing from the museum’s “costume box.” And don’t miss the beautifully preserved slice of the 300-year-old historic “Liberty Tree” on display. Come discover what’s new at the Museum during America’s Semiquincentennial year.
