The Historical Society of Old Randolph warmly invites the community to the last of Randolph Reminisces program of 2026 on Monday, October 19th, at 7pm at the Randolph Township Library located at 28 Calais Rd., Randolph NJ, 07869.

Join guest speaker, railroad historian Bob Bahrs, for an enlightening presentation on the Lackawanna Rail Road in Randolph Township. The presentation will feature an impressive cache of over 100 vintage images of Randolph's Railways.

Whether you lived through the railroad era or are discovering its story for the first time, you'll appreciate this captivating exploration of our town's rich heritage.

Gather your friends and family for an evening celebrating Randolph's rich history and the stories that connect us all.

The Historical Society of Old Randolph thanks Sue Anderson for an insightful presentation at the Randolph Reminisces program last Monday, August 17th 2026.

It was fascinating to learn how deeply Sue Anderson loves history, how much knowledge she has accumulated over the many years, and how actively she contributes in so many different roles for history. It was especially intriguing to learn that the First Presbyterian Church of Succasunna is 20 years older than the United States of America. The history behind the name “Succasunna” was amazing too. More importantly, it was enlightening to hear about Randolph’s important role in the church during the Revolutionary War, when General Washington commissioned the church to serve first as a hospital and later as barracks, helping to keep munitions dry. Everyone enjoyed learning about the militia men from Randolph (some of whom were Job Loree, Israel Aber, Robert Young, and John Johnson) and their roles and responsibilities guarding the church during the Revolutionary War. Hearing these stories brought the history of the church and Randolph's role in the Revolutionary War to life in a truly fascinating way.

We also thank all the guests who joined us at the Randolph Museum for this Reminisces program!

The Historical Society of Old Randolph (HSOR) extends a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out despite a few rain showers on Sunday, August 16th 2026, to join us at our Peach Festival making it a success!! We are very grateful for the community's overwhelming participation, support and generosity!
