What an incredible start to our 4-week Teen Wheel Throwing Workshop!

Our pottery studio was full of energy, laughter, and clay as instructor Antonia Cantu kicked off the first class with an amazing group of teens ready to get their hands dirty and learn the wheel.

We had a whole crew full of Creekers representing tonight — Go Comets! 💙☄️

We can’t wait to see how these pieces (and skills!) grow over the next few weeks. Stay tuned for more muddy hands, spinning wheels, and creative magic!

What a wonderful Saturday at the Art Center!

This weekend’s needle felting class was filled with creativity, laughter, and lots of fluffy wool as students learned how to transform simple fibers into beautiful felted landscapes.

From layering colors and textures to discovering how a simple barbed needle can create incredible works of art, everyone embraced the process and created truly unique pieces. The best part? Watching artists of all experience levels slow down, create with their hands, and leave with something they were proud of.

At the same time, our Totem Pole class was hard at work creating incredible pieces of their own! While those projects are still in progress and not quite ready for their debut, we are already amazed by the creativity, craftsmanship, and dedication being poured into them. We can’t wait to share the finished results soon!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and made the studio feel so warm and inspiring. We absolutely love seeing our community come together to learn, create, and support one another.

Missed this class? Don’t worry—there’s always more creativity happening at the Art Center. Check out our website for more classes

‘Fiber & Fire’ opens tonight at Salmon River Fine Arts Center in Pulaski, NY. We hung the show on Tuesday, and watching it come together felt a bit like building a conversation between cloth and clay, texture and color, softness and structure. What makes this exhibition especially exciting is the way our different mediums and approaches meet, overlap, and bring out unexpected qualities in one another’s work.

I am thrilled for this opportunity and it is a pleasure to show my work among the very talented fiber artists: Allison Altalfi and Tina Limpert.

Exhibition on view thru the end of July! exhibit is free and may be viewed during gallery open hours: Thursdays and Fridays 12 pm – 6 pm and Saturdays 10 am – 2 pm.
