The purposes of this Society are to discover, collect, and preserve materials and objects pertinent and important to the history of the Mexico area, to sponsor writings and publications, and to promote public interest in Mexico’s historical resources.

👻 What an incredible evening at the Tin Shop! 👻
A huge thank you to everyone who came out tonight for our paranormal program! And a special thank you to Sheila Auslander from S.C.O.P.E. for sharing her knowledge, experiences, and some fascinating evidence from paranormal investigations.
We heard some really interesting EVPs tonight, leaving us with plenty to think about! It was a wonderful evening filled with history, mystery, and the unexplained. 👀
Thank you all for supporting the Mexico Historical Society and helping us bring these historic places to life in such unique ways!
Who knows what other mysteries our historic buildings might hold? 👻🏚️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out tonight for our program on George Scriba! We truly appreciate everyone who took the time to join us and share in an evening filled with history, stories, and a few special surprises.
A very special thank you to Christene, the Town of Constantia Historian, for sharing her knowledge and giving us such an interesting look into the life of George Scriba, his business ventures, the Scriba Patent, and his dreams for the area. We are so grateful that you took the time to share this fascinating piece of our local history with us!
And what made the evening even more special was having ancestors of George Scriba himself join us for the program! Their father, Weston Francis, is the great great great grandson of George Scriba. What an incredible connection to the history we were learning about. ❤️
We love seeing our community come together to learn, share, and keep local history alive. Thank you all for making tonight such a memorable evening! 🏛️❤️
