The Folk Music Festival is BACK!

After a seven-year hiatus, one of Sharlot Hall Museum’s beloved traditions is returning for its 42nd year, and we are thrilled to welcome it back!

Join us Saturday, October 3, 2026, for a full day of incredible live music, timeless folk songs, storytelling, talented performers, and the unmistakable spirit of American folk music.

But the celebration begins one night earlier with a very special Opening Concert featuring the Folk Legacy Trio!

On Friday, October 2, nationally acclaimed musicians George Grove, Rick Dougherty, and Jerry Siggins will bring their celebrated show, "This Land Is Your Land," to the Sharlot Hall Museum Education Building.

This intimate concert will take audiences on a musical journey through the songs and stories that helped shape the American folk revival from the 1950s through the mid-1970s. Expect beautiful harmonies, masterful musicianship, engaging storytelling, and some of America’s most beloved folk songs.

And there’s something extra special for concert guests: every ticket includes an exclusive meet-and-greet and light reception with the band before the concert!

Thank you to everyone who joined us last night at Sharlot Hall Museum for a special evening with Frank Sanderson and his informative presentation, “The 140-Year History of APS in Arizona.”

We are grateful to Frank for sharing his knowledge and insights into the history of Arizona Public Service - APS - and its important role in the development of our state. It was an engaging and fascinating look at a significant part of Arizona’s history.

These historic photographs offer a glimpse into the lives of some of the four-legged companions who shared their days with Arizona families and communities. From faithful companions to working dogs, they were an important part of everyday life and deserve a place in our history, too.

The 28th Annual Prescott Indian Art Market is just around the corner!

Join us Saturday, September 19, and Sunday, September 20, 2026, for two days celebrating Native American art, culture, music, performances, demonstrations, and more at Sharlot Hall Museum.

PIAM features more than 80 top Native artists in this juried fine arts market, showcasing an incredible variety of work, from oil painting and beadwork to pottery and weaving. We are excited to announce that the Folk Music Festival is BACK!

Join us on Saturday, October 3, 2026, for a day filled with timeless music, incredible performances, toe-tapping tunes, and the spirit of American folk music as the 42nd Folk Music Festival returns to Sharlot Hall Museum after a seven-year hiatus.

And that’s not all—we’re excited to announce a special Opening Concert on Friday, October 2, featuring the nationally acclaimed Folk Legacy Trio!

George Grove, Rick Dougherty, and Jerry Siggins will bring their celebrated show, "This Land Is Your Land," to the Sharlot Hall Museum Education Building for an intimate evening celebrating the songs and stories that shaped the American folk revival of the 1950s through the mid-1970s.

Thank you to everyone who attended our Vision of Vets: Profiles in Courage reception last night. It was a truly moving evening, and we were honored to meet some of America’s finest and hear their stories of service, sacrifice, and courage.

We are proud to now have Profiles in Courage open to the public in the Liese and Rosenblatt Gallery, located in the lobby of the Research Center at Sharlot Hall Museum. Admission is completely free.

The exhibit features twelve museum-quality fine art portraits of combat veterans, representing multiple generations of American military service, from World War II through modern conflicts. Each large-format archival portrait is paired with an augmented reality experience, allowing visitors with a smartphone to hear each veteran share their story in their own words.

This powerful exhibit offers a personal connection to the men and women who have served our country and provides an opportunity to reflect on their experiences, sacrifices, and courage.

We invite you to visit Profiles in Courage and experience these remarkable stories for yourself.
