Last evening, guests at the Hill House were transported back in time as members of the Hill family returned to their ancestral home for a special evening of storytelling and hospitality.
Visitors were welcomed at the front door by none other than John Thompson, the builder of the home, setting the stage for a truly unique experience. Throughout the tour, guests had the opportunity to visit with Hill family members throughout the house and hear family stories.
Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the evening such a memorable success. Bringing history to life through the stories, personalities, and experiences of those connected to the Hill House made for a night to remember.

On this night of ghosts, the Hill Family members return in flesh and blood with exciting costumed theatrical scenes...we did this 3 years ago and it was sold out!

On Tuesday, October 13, 2026, we were excited to welcome the Princess Anne Garden Club for their monthly meeting and a tour of the Hill House Museum!
This visit was especially meaningful because of the historic connection between our two organizations. The Princess Anne Garden Club was founded in 1932 by Elizabeth Gregory Hill. The legacy continues to connect these two organizations through a shared history and a love of horticulture and community.
It was a wonderful time of fellowship, history, and appreciation for the remarkable legacy of the Hill family. We are grateful to the Princess Anne Garden Club for visiting and celebrating this special connection with us!

The Hill House Museum will be closed for tours on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

A special visit...
Yesterday, during the Sail250 festivities, we were delighted to welcome three very special visitors to the Hill House—three talented young ladies portraying the Hill Sisters in their youth (pictured left to right: Evelyn, Blanche, Elizabeth).
The young ladies were fascinated by the preservation of the Hill House Museum and the many ways their family's ancestors are honored throughout the home.
It was a wonderful visit filled with history, discovery, and a meaningful connection to the past. We were honored to host them and grateful for the opportunity to bring history to life in such a special way!
