🏊 Michele Suchland: Michele creates quirky, imaginative sculptural works that tell stories through unexpected materials, playful characters, and a mix of humor and thought-provoking themes.
🎨 Tom Mattox: Tom is a Portland-based artist and teacher whose colorful, expressive work is all about joy, discovery, and possibility.
🖼️ Carol Crump Bryner: Carol works primarily in oil paint, but her recent mixed-media collages incorporate decades of saved paper scraps, old letters, and pieces of past artwork to explore life's tougher moments.

Today's Open Studios Artist Features 🎨✨

🖌️ Kia Zora: Kia's acrylic paintings begin with an idea and evolve through layers of color, energetic brushwork, and intuition, allowing unexpected forms and imagery to emerge along the way.
🎨 Kim Marcucci: Kim creates bold, expressive abstract paintings inspired by the natural world, drawing on her decades in Alaska and Chickasaw heritage to explore themes of memory, transformation, and place.
📸 Gloria Baker Feinstein: Gloria moves between painting and photography, capturing landscapes and birds along the Oregon coast and at places like Sauvie Island. She's also currently working on a photo book about identical twins!

🖼️ David Brandt: Working in large-scale oils and mixed-media watercolors, David combines landscapes with human-made technology to create thought-provoking art with a playful, satirical twist.
🎨 Deanna Schuerbeke: Deanna creates expressive abstract paintings full of color, movement, and layered textures, exploring the space between chaos and calm, strength and vulnerability.
✨ Bougie Stuff: Angel Morrow brings a little extra fancy to everyday ceramics! Think handmade pottery finished with signature gold rims because life's too short for dishes that aren't a little bougie.

📸 Nicole Mark Photography: Born and raised in Portland, Nicole captures the beauty of the Pacific Northwest through film and digital photography, with prints that bring a little calm and nature into any space.

🎨 Tanithtopia: Inspired by Iceland’s dramatic landscapes, Tanith creates abstract paintings filled with bold brushwork, rich textures, and touches of iridescent gold.

🖼️ Scott Erwert: Scott’s work explores the changing urban landscape, film noir, and jazz culture, blending modern art influences with dynamic compositions and moody lighting.

Preview Night is returning for our upcoming winter Open Studios!

Join us for a special Friday evening preview of Open Studios at NW Marine Art Works, Friday, December 4th from 4-8 PM!

This ticketed event offers early access to the studios before we open to the public for the weekend. With limited attendance and timed entry, guests can enjoy a more relaxed first look while exploring artist studios, discovering new work of 75+ local artisans, and getting an early start on holiday shopping before the busy weekend crowds.

Throughout the night, enjoy local food and drink options, along with live music!

Tickets are $10 and available now! Reserve your preferred time slot using the link in our bio!

Saturday + Sunday are free to attend.

Ever wondered what’s behind the doors of one of Portland’s hidden gems? This December, we’re welcoming you into our creative community of 75+ artists and makers for a special weekend of art, shopping, and getting a glimpse into the spaces where it all happens.

Browse an incredible variety of original artwork, including paintings, prints, ceramics, jewelry, textiles, sculpture, mixed media, and more, all created by local artists right here in PDX. Meet the people behind the work, peek inside their studios, and discover something unique to bring home or gift to someone special.

Make a day of it with live music, local bites and drinks, and plenty of creative inspiration around every corner.

This family-friendly holiday market is a chance to experience Portland’s art scene in a whole new way. Gather your friends and family, and come see what’s inside! 💙

Thank you to our neighbors in the NW Industrial area for providing additional guest parking for Open Studios!

Check out our interactive Google Maps which includes pinned locations of each available parking lot. (Link in Bio) We will also have signage pointing to event parking.

There is also plenty of street parking and we always encourage carpooling, public transit, or biking to NW Marine Art Works! ☀️🚌🚏🚗🚙
