We are honored to invite you all to our second iteration of North View Mobile, featuring an exhibition created by Humans for Housing called Dear Portland. We are excited to serve as the first venue for the traveling version of this moving exhibition that originated at Stelo ❤️
Dear Portland is an immersive storytelling exhibition, co-curated by Maddie Iem and Davey Schaupp, that shines a light on the lived experiences of many neighbors in the city of Portland who are impacted by the housing crisis. Putting human stories behind statistics, Dear Portland aims to inspire compassion, highlight solutions and calls for action on Oregon’s most urgent issue: housing and houselessness.
The exhibition brings together personal narratives, local data, and community-informed perspectives to explore the realities of the housing crisis. Developed by a collaborative team of artists, designers and community members, Dear Portland is centered on lived experiences while offering pathways toward understanding and action. It is designed to be both reflective and participatory, creating space for visitors to listen, learn and consider what a more just and stable future could look like.
This edition of the traveling exhibition is a collaboration between the Center for Civic Engagement and the North View Mobile and was generously funded in part by Portland Community College student senators of Associated Students of Portland Community College ❤️
