* Phoenix- Steele Indian School Park * Yesterday's set up was beautiful.... until that weather warning was sent ⚠️ I ended up packing up and leaving the powwow once it calmed down. And i spent 2.5hrs repairing and drying my work. I was sad.. but thankful that people helped me and that we got home safe. Thank you to those who stopped by to say hi and purchased something from my shop 🙌🏾✨️

✨️ 2nd Annual Family Conference with Childcare Development Fund 🦋 So honored to be welcomed back to this beautiful conference. I planned for 3 special art activities for families to engage in. For the first session, we painted our own welcome mats for our home 🏡 I loved seeing everyone's creativity and especially the representation of Native languages 🥰 One of the families painted their baby's feet and printed them onto their mat. So cute!!! 👶🏾👣 The second activity included painting a custom stack of "books" with quotes/ family members names 📚 For the last session, we designed our own wooden coasters using various colorful mosaic tiles. A husband and wife in attendance said to me, "Thank you for doing this, it kind of feels like we're on a date night. We haven't done anything like this in a long time." 🥹 With over 150 families and community members in attendance, the energy was so beautiful. I was able to peek into other presentations briefly in between my sessions. Sharing spaces like these with other amazing people will always inspire me to keep doing this type of heartwork for the rest of my life ❤️

I'm calling this one... "BaaLance". I've been sheep...I mean, SLEEP deprived for the past few days and trying to create while in zombie mode is a new level of hustling... I do not recommend 🙃. This is the busiest time for my business and if you're also a creative.. you know! Recently, I've had to cancel some amazing opportunities because I knew I was not going to be able to show up the way that I needed to. Not just for myself, but for the people I would meet and interact with, and most importantly for my daughter. I struggle with passing up on opportunities because as a small business, every event matters. Networking is key and making sales along the way along with facilitating workshops is part of what I do. Sleep is vital and I haven't been getting enough. To my mommy friends... help! Warm baths...melatonin, warm milk... massages...no screen time... you name it, I've tried it. Any suggestions would be appreciated 🙌🏾 I'm posting this as I sip on my 2nd cup of coffee ☕️ and yes.. we just woke up because "someone" didn't go to bed until 3:30am!!! 🥴 😢 😭 🛌 🐑 🐏 🐑 🐏
