Joanne studied Art and Interior Architecture at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her creative abilities were honed at SAIC and her work was displayed in many student shows. She received her Masters degree in Architecture at the University of Illinois in Chicago. After graduating from Architecture school, Joanne worked at Holabird and Root and Nagle Hartray in Chicago; two well establish

ed modern architectural firms. She later moved to Arizona with her family and worked on many projects nestled in the mountains of the Sonoran desert with Shelby Wilson Architects, Joanne’s rare combination of artistic and technical skills blend together effortlessly in her designs. Her architecture is an amalgam of art and technology. She draws upon the knowledge and experience gained from the past while adapting to the changing needs of a contemporary society. Her well-designed buildings are a successful collaboration with her clients. Their close interaction and dialogue transforms ideas into a unique curated mix of form, site, and space.
