About the Coffee Chat
We are partnering with Kimzin Creative and Creative Sonoma to host a 90-minute conversation that will help gather data for the Creative Sonoma Arts & Culture Benchmark Study. Facilitated by Nikko Kimzin and supported by Samara Zepeda, this workshop invites you to share your lived experience and imagine the future of Sonoma County’s creative sector.
We’re keeping the group small, with only 15 to 20 participants, so everyone’s ideas get heard. Each participant will receive a $25 gift card as thanks for their time, along with coffee (duh!) and a delicious bite to eat.

About the Benchmark Study
These workshops will help build a shared, community-driven picture of Sonoma County’s creative sector. Artists, culture bearers, and community members will reflect on the Benchmark Study’s data through their own experiences. The goal is a roadmap shaped by the people most affected by cultural policy and funding decisions, especially communities that have been historically underrepresented in those conversations to create a more inclusive, responsive creative ecosystem for Sonoma County.

Breathwork events are a time and space for you to slow down and connect with yourself. It’s an opportunity to release whatever you’re ready to let go of and make space to call into your life, body, and mind what you desire.

What To Bring and How To Prepare For Your Session:
Wear something comfortable. You will be lying on the floor. Bring a yoga mat or something soft to lie on. I encourage you to bring a blanket, socks, and layers. Please avoid eating a large meal 1-2 hours prior to the session.

What is Breathwork?
Breathwork is a transformative practice that harnesses the power of conscious breathing to unlock deep insights and emotional release. Through a guided process, participants engage in a rhythmic three-part breath to get out of the mind and into the body, facilitating profound self-awareness and inner healing.

About the Teacher:
Laila Smith, RN, BSN, NC-BC is a Board-Certified Nurse Coach and founder of Pendulum Wellness. Her work blends somatic breathwork, mindfulness, and transformational coaching to help clients reconnect with their purpose and navigate life with greater clarity and ease. With a background in emergency nursing and a deep commitment to holistic healing, Laila creates supportive spaces where individuals can explore what’s beneath the surface, shift old patterns, and align with their most authentic self.

New Gallery Show opening Saturday, September 5th from 4-7 in the Slough City Gallery! Fragments & Fluidity by Bea Cheung

Bea Cheung's debut solo exhibition, "Fragments & Fluidity", is to take place on the 5th of September 2026 in the Slough City Gallery in Petaluma's historic warehouse district. Featuring a body of work influenced by the freedom of abstraction with the bold social consciousness of contemporary street art, the layered materials, tactile surfaces and a balance of control and chaos in her mark-making reflects a deep engagement with the complexities of navigating intersecting lived experiences. The exhibition invites viewers to see healing not as a destination, but as an ongoing practice of integration, connection, and collective care.
