[NOW OPEN] Guests visiting the GAM between May 15 and May 31 will have an opportunity to view our newest community display, "Flags of Valor." Located in the Air Park, guests can read the memorial cards to learn about those who chose freedom as their profession. This is included with paid admission to the museum.

[INTO THE FOLD] It's National Paper Airplane Day! Sometimes referred to as aerogami, paper airplanes can range from very simple designs anyone can make to complex folds that take a simple piece of paper to new heights. Happy birthday to the Air Force Thunderbirds! While our F-11 is done up in her Blue Angels livery, three of our planes represent previously flown aircraft by the Thunderbirds - the F-84 Thunderstreak, the F-100 Super Sabre, and the F-4 Phantom (which is the only plane to be flown by both the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds!) You can see these three planes and many more on display in our air park!

And join the Grissom Air Reserve Base in August as they host the Grissom Air & Space Expo, which will feature the Thunderbirds in action!

The Gift Hangar inside the Grissom Air Museum can help you celebrate today's holiday in style. We carry several small and medium patches that range from the branches to reproductions of patches from different wings, fleets, battalions, and units. They range in price from $5.00 to $7.50 and are available in person at the gift shop. We will add these to our online store by mid-summer.
