Built by the Junior League of Peoria, in collaboration with Peoria Park District and Peoria Zoological Society, The PlayHouse is a hands-on, interactive children’s museum. It is located in the historic Glen Oak Park Pavilion building within Glen Oak Park, adjacent to Peoria Zoo and near Luthy Bot

🔨✨ Real Tools is hitting the road!

While the PlayHouse is closed this September and October, one of your favorite places to create is popping up at the Bonnie W. Noble Center!

Join us every Friday for a drop-in maker space where kids can explore materials, dream up their own ideas, tinker, design, build, and see where their creativity takes them. Just like Real Tools at the PlayHouse, the possibilities are wide open!

✂️ Twist it, squish it, spin it, fidget with it!

Fall Maker Crafternoons kick off THIS WEEKEND, and our first project is all about DIY FIDGETS! 🙌🎨

Young makers ages 5–12 will get creative with recycled and repurposed materials to design and build their very own fidget creations. There’s plenty of room to experiment, tinker, and make something totally their own!

Nature Niños is returning to Forest Park Nature Center this fall! Little learners ages 3–5 and their grown-ups can discover the world around them through S.T.E.A.M. and maker activities, movement, stories, and Spanish vocabulary.

🎶 There’s a little extra music in this week’s FriYAY!

Join us at the Peoria PlayHouse this Friday, August 21 at 4pm for Edith Barnard’s Musical Menagerie! 🎵

Edith is bringing along a whole menagerie of musical friends—including Katy Kalimba, Benjamin Banjo, Harry Harmonica, and more—for a playful, hands-on introduction to the wonderful world of instruments. 🪕🎶

We’ll gather out on the PlayHouse porch for the fun (and head inside if the weather has other plans!). Afterward, stick around and PLAY—the PlayHouse is open until 6pm for FriYAY! 🥳
