For more than three decades, Imago Galleries has been honored to represent the extraordinary work of Dale Chihuly, offering collectors access to some of the artist’s most iconic chandeliers and sculptures. Chihuly has redefined glass as an artistic medium. Working through collaboration, process, and risk, he moved glass beyond the vessel and into architectural space.
This year marks a remarkable full-circle moment in Chihuly’s career as he returns to the city that profoundly shaped his artistic vision with CHIHULY: Venice 2026, a major exhibition celebrating the 30th anniversary of the groundbreaking Chihuly Over Venice project, where his monumental chandeliers transformed the canals and piazzas of Venice in 1996.
Desert Grass Chandelier with Golden Tendrils
Rendered in the artist’s favorite color—a vibrant chartreuse—this chandelier is a dynamic cascade of twisting tendrils, and delicate organic forms inspired by the grasses and flora of the desert landscape.

CHIHULY: Venice 2026
Venice has played a central role in Chihuly’s artistic evolution. In 1996, Chihuly Over Venice marked a turning point: fourteen Chandeliers appeared over canals, markets, bridges, and courtyards throughout the city. Three decades later, Chihuly returns with three monumental glass sculptures along the Grand Canal.
CHIHULY: Venice 2026 brings these new works together with archival materials, objects, and documentation presented at the Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti. The exhibition traces a pivotal chapter in Chihuly’s practice and its continuing legacy.
