The Artists Council is pleased to announce Susan Masley as the 2026–2027 Artists Council Creative Fellow.

The Artists Council Creative Fellowship supports a member artist in developing a significant body of work while deepening their artistic practice and engaging the community.

Through this fellowship, Susan will expand her artistic practice, explore creative growth, and share her process with the community -- serving as an ambassador for the arts while inspiring others through her work.

Susan is an abstract artist and self-taught painter whose expressive works on canvas, board, and aluminum reflect profound recovery, gratitude, and creative transformation following a life-altering accident. Having studied in Washington State and Southern France, she brings a diverse worldview to her contemporary practice. Her radiant, confident works have earned recognition in a dozen juried exhibitions, and she sold 43 paintings within her first two years as an emerging artist.

Celebrating the opening of the 2026 Artists Council Exhibition (ACE) at the Artists Center in Palm Desert this past Thursday. With a theme of "Timeless Traditions - Modern Context," this year's ACE includes a collaboration for the very first time with Modernism Week. Special events from Feb 11 - 15 focus on Mid-Century Mod (see our Modernism Week info on our website at artistscouncil.com). The Artists Center is open Wed through Sun from 10 am to 4 pm.

The 2025 Artists Council Exhibition (ACE) is NOW OPEN! This is our premier juried show of the year!

The judges this season had an especially tough assignment. They ultimately selected a final ACE display of 119 artworks from a total of 223 pieces submitted by our dedicated members -- a testimony to the fact that the 2025 ACE showcases the incredible talent within our community.

Come see the 2025 ACE at the Artists Center, Wed through Sun from 10 am to 4 pm, now through Sun, Mar 2nd.
