✨ Meet the Maker Monday ✨
Hey all! It’s Meet the Maker Monday, where I introduce you to one of the talented artists whose work you’ll find at Myth Menagerie Gallery & Makery.
Today’s Maker is Sharon Pullins, a woodworker specializing in beautiful side and coffee tables made from live-edge wood, with turquoise inlaid into the natural cracks and crevices of the wood.
I had the chance to sit down with Sharon the other day and ask her a few questions.
MM: Sharon, how long have you been making tables?
SP: About 15 years or so.
MM: Where do you get your inspiration?
SP: The wood itself. If you look closely while working with wood, it will tell you which way to go with a table design.
MM: I love your tables. They’re such beautiful, functional pieces of art. In fact, I bought two for myself when you were selling them through The Gallery, which was operated by Grand Circle Arts Alliance.
SP: Yes! That was my first sale through The Gallery.
MM: Sharon, besides creating your beautiful tables, you’re also a photographer, correct?
SP: Yes, I’ve been an amateur photographer for about 25–30 years. I love landscape photography. The surrounding beauty here inspires me.
MM: Thank you so much for your time, Sharon. We love having both your tables and your photography here at Myth Menagerie.
In addition to finding Sharon’s work at Myth Menagerie Gallery & Makery, you can also find some of her creations at her shop of 26 years, Lifeways Books & Gifts in Prescott, Arizona.
We’re so happy to have Sharon as part of our Menagerie of Makers. ❤️
Stop in and see her work for yourself!
