I’ll admit, taking the room from a clean 1950s walls and fireplace back to the raw 1870s is a little scary but it’s a lot of fun to have gotten this far. Enjoying the journey.

Found the original wall paper - now we need to replicate that. Found the original flooring - now we need some professional floor restoration help.

Mike using his palm to see if the paint is dry. He is adding the 3rd color to the posts, Ruby Red, a popular color in the 1880s to go with another popular color from the day, Botanical Garden (green). The 3rd color is antique white, though back then they called it Future White, I think. Maybe not. Thanks also to Dunn Edward’s for their support.

Thanks to Jim Thompson and our Master Gardeners for maintaining our Cactus Garden out front.
