On Oct. 1st the Wayne County Inter-Society Liaison Group meeting was hosted by The Orrville Historical Society. A high "Thank you!" to our volunteers, Georgene Wright and Judie Pouley for all the time you dedicated to adding fall decorations and making a beautiful refreshment table. We enjoyed pumpkin rolls, cookies, chips, veggies, and apple c***r.

Representatives from each historical society or museum in Wayne County meet the first Thursday of April, July and October. It's a great way for all the organizations to share ideas and help support each other.

Present at the meeting were Linda from Smithville Community Historical Society, Joe and Vicki from Dalton Historical Society, John from West Salem Historical Society, Lesa and Mary from Chippewa- Rogues Hollow Historical Society, Ken and Dan from Rittman Historical Society, Brian from Apple Creek Historical Society, Heather from the Wayne County Visitors Bureau and the Agricultural Museum and Education Center. And, Kristin from Orrville Historical Society.

We shared what our historical societies have been up to and what plans we have for the future. As well as a great discussion about some fun collaborations in the future. Stay tuned for great things in 2027!
