Our museum is located within a 93,000 square foot building, which also includes overnight lodging, banquet and meeting space, and residential apartments. The property encompasses 33 acres including historic gardens and grounds, the Oneida Community Cemetery, and the country's first corporate golf course. The property has two century-old New York State champion trees: a Black Walnut and a Tulip.

Many thanks to everyone who came out last Saturday's 5th Annual Oneida Community Mansion House Car Show!

It was a HUGE success! Folks from all over the region and beyond enjoyed a wonderful day of classic cars, tasty bites, rock and roll from Terry Johnson, and learned about the incredible history of the Oneida Community Mansion House!

Thank you so much to everyone from our car owners to guests for coming out!

Time is Running Out to Have Your Impact Doubled!

Places like the Oneida Community Mansion House are rare examples of the โ€œpower of placeโ€ to make history come alive.

Supporters like you understand that OCMH is a treasure worth protecting. That is why the Kenwood Benevolent Society (KBS) has pledged $100,000 as a challenge match to coincide with Historic Preservation Month and America250. Every dollar donated during the month of May will be matched for critical historic preservation work.

Today is our biggest event of the year, the 5th Annual Oneida Community Mansion House Classic Car Show! ๐Ÿš˜

Due to this public outdoor event, there will be no self-guided tours of the Mansion House available today, May 30th. Instead, specialty guided tours will be available on a first come, first served basis every half hour from 10am through 2:30pm!

We will return to regular hours tomorrow, Sunday May 31st. Thank you for your understanding and we hope to see you on the Mansion House grounds today to enjoy some classic cars, live music, and food trucks!

Vital pieces of American history like the Mansion House are fragile. They need constant preservation and careโ€”a fact we are reminded of daily as we face a growing list of capital projects due to time, the effects of Upstate NY winters, and accidents including roofs that need replacing, brickwork in need of repair, porches that need rebuilding, and facades in need of reconstruction.

That is why in honor of Historic Preservation Month and America250, we are in the midst of our biggest fundraising campaign ever! A generous donor is matching every donation dollar for dollar during the month of May to support new roofs, masonry, porches and more capital preservation projects to the Oneida Community Mansion House!
