Public Opening Reception: Friday, August 28th from 5-9pm

Bring your checkbook and discover the incredible variety of quality artwork on display! Artwork will be available to purchase at a Buy It Now price, or you can place a bid at any point during the exhibition. Only check and cash payments are accepted.

Artwork for sale includes pieces by Kent Bellows, Shelly Bartek, Bill Hoover, Michael James, Edgar Jerins, Steve Joy, John Thein, Allan Tubach, Iggy Sumnik, and many other Nebraska, regional, and international artists. Stay tuned for a full list of work coming to our website soon.

Join us for the opening of Downsizing, an art auction and exhibition at Gallery 1516!

Public Opening Reception: Friday, August 28th from 5-9pm

Artwork for sale includes work by Kent Bellows, Steve Joy, John Thein, Karlis Dzenis, Jerry Jacoby, Iggy Sumnik, Thomas Mangelsen, and many other Nebraska, regional, and international artists!

A wide variety of quality artwork will be available to purchase at a Buy It Now price or you can place a bid at any time during the exhibition. Downsizing will be on display for 1 month only, so don't miss it!

This is the final week to view the Generation exhibition at Gallery 1516, featuring three generations of artists from one family!

Mark Peiser (Great Uncle), Watie White (Uncle), and Calista White (Niece) are showing their work together for the first time. From cast glass and sculpture, to paintings and woodcut prints, their diverse artwork is on display through Sunday, August 16th.

Gallery 1516 is free and open to the public.
Tuesday - Sunday, 11am-5pm

July 31st is the deadline to apply for the Regional Photo Biennial! Learn more and apply at www.gallery1516.org.

Gallery 1516 is seeking the best fine art photography from regional artists for this in-person exhibition. There will a $10,000 award for the Best in Show photo, plus other category prizes. And because our gallery is a non-profit, artists receive 100% of artwork sales with no commission fees!

This year, artwork will be judged by Andrea Nelson, the associate curator of photography at the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. and a Nebraska native.

Professionals, amateurs, and students are all welcome to apply. Don't wait, submit your artwork by Friday, July 31st to participate in this exhibition!

EDIT: SOLD OUT! We’re partnering with the Nebraska Crossroads Music Festival to bring you a performance by the Women’s Bandura Ensemble on July 26th. This group celebrates a unique Ukrainian instrument whose sound carries centuries of history, identity, and cultural memory.

The Crossroads Music Festival features 19 free events across Omaha and Lincoln, bringing together world-class artists, Nebraska musicians, and audiences of all ages.
