🎥 Calling All Filmmakers!

The Ocean City Film Challenge invites you to create a short narrative or documentary film (10 minutes or less) shot in or about Ocean City.

All films must include a designated line of dialogue, follow a cinematic storyline, and be completed within the challenge timeframe.

🏆 Win prizes + OCFF recognition
🎬 Premiere your film August 8 with a live Q&A

The Artists Paint OC Festival returns for its 21st year August 12th-16th!

Fifty-plus artists from the Mid Atlantic region will paint throughout Ocean City for awards totaling over $10,000.

Wet Paint Sales: Saturday, August 15th from 5-7pm and Sunday, August 16th from 1-3pm at The Art League of Ocean City!

Artist Spotlight: John Eiseman

John’s work encompasses several genres: Plein Air and studio landscapes, still life interiors, and figures: using acrylics, oils, and watercolors. His paintings are surely representational and narrative at times, but the imagery is not about the pictorial. He uses the subject matter (whether it be a farmhouse, tree, cloud, or figure) as design elements to capture natural phenomena, moment in space and time and mood of event. John believes that painting is not just the celebration of vision, but rather a quest for experience. In this sense, his paintings are not a recording of facts seen. It is the process of interpreting a fleeting muse. John considers himself to be an “American Impressionist” with “caveats”.

Our recent "Local Colors" Watercolor class with Gerilyn Gaskill captured the joy of beach days through watercolor paintings!

Ready for the next adventure? Join Gerilyn on Friday, July 10 from 10am–1pm to paint watercolor crabs, or on Friday, July 17 from 10am–1pm for a still-life featuring peaches, leaves, and decorative bowls. Gerilyn begins each class with a demonstration and offers personalized guidance throughout, making this a fun and welcoming experience for beginners and experienced painters alike.

All levels are welcome. Bring your own supplies and come paint with us! Rental kits also available.

Artist Spotlight: Siobhan Duggan

Siobhan Duggan is a Delaware-based artist whose work captures the fleeting light, color, and energy of Coastal Delaware and its surrounding landscapes. A 2021 Delaware Individual Artist Fellow and 2017 Delaware Division of the Arts grant recipient, she holds a BFA from SUNY Purchase and an MAT from the School of Visual Arts in New York. She explores scale, abstraction, and the immediacy of mark-making to preserve the freshness of each moment in nature.
