Let’s call this segment, SOLD & Going Home. Because after we went IG Live yesterday and talked about all the work that we had in the show we did something incredible and found homes for all of this beautiful work.

The thing about selling artwork is that buyers need to know more about the work and the artist to really understand whether it’s gonna be something that will fit in their home or not. The nice thing about being the Curator of the show and having personal relationships with each of these individuals is that we are the ones that have access to tap into what sparked the creativity and what inspires the creation of that work.

It is true that “art” can really be open for the interpretation of the buyer, but for most who will end up bringing this new artwork home, we want to know how the work can fit in certain spaces in our homes. So having some kind of background will help gravitate the work to the appropriate individual.

(Dad joke incoming):
Buying art is almost like dating when you’re single. Before you take it home, you need to know more about the piece/person/art…

That is of course, unless you’re an art hoe which of course we love them (hoes).

Either way Pimpin ain’t easy bb.

But we digress and give thanks to all the artists, collectors, and everyone who has provided new homes for all of these beautiful pieces.

2 things will happen Cukui tomorrow (9/30):

1. The Method Makers 💣r art exhibition will close for good.
2. Method Made will go live on IG to close out our celebration. In our chat we’ll discuss the details surrounding the different artist and their work in the show.
3. Curators hours to see the artwork in person from 12:30 - 2:00 PM before we begin packing and preparing the artwork to ship out and to be picked up.

Every two years we inaugurate the work that the global Method Makers network creates in the streets by hosting this special show. This year without Method Made SF Gallery, we were fortunate to have our family Cukui welcome us to have our exhibition here.

35+ Artist from world. Hectic deadlines. Resources which include (but limited to) time, energy, money, patience… all to have this experience and display of work amongst some of our favorite artists we’ve been following over the course of the 2 years leading up to this show.

If you are able to visit Cukui tomorrow the exhibition will not come down until 2 PM where you can purchase any last minute works while we are there.

Including all the 35+ artists that have participated, and our Cukui family and staff who graciously held down our exhibition, we’d like to send a heartfelt thank you to both Queen @ TMMDL and Si Hofmeister art from the Method Made team. Without Patrick’s vision and meticulous precision to details the walls would not be as perfect as it was curated. To Queen @ TMMDL everyone who has artwork on the site, a beautiful flyer to print and share digitally, as well as have product to buy from our marketplace - (TMMDL.com) absolutely none of that is possible without her.

Now with all that said. Who’s gonna meet us at Cukui tomorrow?

Had an opportunity to visit Empire Seven Studios art gallery x boutique Japantown Bus. Assoc. (JBA) with Kristina Micotti on view (till 10/1) for her show “where’s your head at?”

Founded in 2008 in Japantown, Empire 7 Stidios (E7S) has spent over a decade amplifying underrepresented voices, bridging local creators with international talents, and transforming public spaces into living canvases.

Known for their powerful gallery exhibitions & large-scale public murals across the city, E7S empowers fine artists, muralists, and street artists who push boundaries.

Culture cultivation, art curation, community building, Empire Seven Studios keeps creative heart of South Bay Area beating strong.

Introducing the Geoknotic Walkies.
Made specifically for Method Makers 💣r art show hosted by Cukui x Method Made on view through 9/30.

Laser-cut, layered birch wood Walkie by Geoknotic.

Based on an original Walkie drawing from the 2024 Math Day Art Show and Fundraiser (Good News Crew, Hieroglyphics, and Del the Funky Homosapien, in partnership with Method Made), the drawing was digitized to build the layers for the artwork.

Each layer is hand painted, then re-scanned so Geoknotic to create the laser paths for the cuts of the artwork.

Every piece is three layers, all using one part of the original hand-painted artwork.

Each Walkie mixes Three types of stained birch for a unique feel. Backgrounds finished with Club Ghoul Ink.
