Next week is our night at Crafter's Brew to support the Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge! Join us on Wednesday, 9/9 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm for an evening of live music from The Will Shepard Band and fundraising for CMOR. Crafter’s Brew will donate $1 for every beer sold! We hope to see you there.

It’s that time again – time to update CMOR’s Strategic Plan!

You are invited to give input as we work on the Museum’s next Strategic Plan. Laura Hammons of ORAU will be the facilitator of our Stakeholders’ Workshop on Saturday, September 12, from 9 am – noon at CMOR. Breakfast will be provided. An RSVP is required to attend. We’re gearing up for a fun railroad-themed night to support CMOR at All Aboard the Silver Line: A 25th Anniversary Gala! This year’s Gala is on November 20 from 5:30 – 9:00 pm.

Tickets go on sale September 15, and sponsorships are still available! Visit https://bit.ly/cmorgala2026 for more information about sponsorship levels and benefits. Thank you to our generous sponsors so far! As of today, we are at $26,500 out of our $60,000 goal.

Did you know that the money raised at the Gala each year support the Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge throughout the whole year? This goes directly to fund our programming for children, family events, and exhibits for everyone!

It only happens a few times a year, but next week is Fifth Sunday on 8/30 from 1-4 pm! The Knoxville Area Model Railroaders, Inc. will hold an extra open house where visitors can see the KAMR clubhouse and learn about model railroading on this special afternoon.
