With Labor Day coming up, we want to give a special spotlight to the wonderful variety of jobs that make our community a great place to live. From A to Z, every role matters!😊
To celebrate, we have a fun interactive activity for the kids today and tomorrow! Stop by the front desk to:
•Fill out a letter on our "Jobs In The Community A-Z" poster.
•Draw a picture of what you want to be when you grow up! 👨‍🚀👩‍🎨👨‍🔬👩‍🔧

🚨 NORTH PLATTE… THE HAUNTED HOUSE IS BACK, BABY.

And this year, something feels… off.

The North Platte Area Children’s Museum is excited—or maybe terrified—to announce the theme of the NPACM Haunted House 2026:

😶 UNCANNY VALLEY 😶
You know the feeling.
Something looks human… but it isn’t.
A smile lasts just a little too long.
A face looks familiar… but you can’t remember from where.
A mannequin turns its head when you’re certain it wasn’t looking at you before.
Your brain is telling you something is wrong.
You should probably listen to it.

This year, we’re leaving Uncanny Valley up to your imagination… and maybe your deepest fears.

What’s waiting inside?
We’re not telling.
Because sometimes what you imagine is far worse than anything we could show you.

The halls of NPACM are changing. The familiar is becoming unfamiliar. And when the lights go out, you may start questioning what’s real, what isn’t…
…and whether that thing standing in the corner was there when you walked in.

Today we presented a check to the North Platte Area Children's Museum from our Tees and Tunes golf tournament this summer!

We are proud to support area groups with our events!

Maleighya & Lauren are off to college in the morning. Please help us wish them the best of luck at Fort Hays State University. We will miss you gals!

Don't worry though, we aren't losing everyone! Faith & Roslynn are staying here while attending Mid-Plains Community College. 🥳

We want to wish everyone a wonderful 2026-2027 school year filled with learning, growth and success!

Thank you ALL for making it a great summer here at the museum!!

Join us for Tees and Tunes, with Paradise Theater performing on July 18th.

Saturday, July 18th • 11:00am Shotgun & 7:00pm Concert

You are invited to our "Tees & Tunes" event, featuring a shotgun scramble at 11:00 am, followed by dinner and a concert with live music by Paradise Theater, a Styx Tribute Band, at 7:00 pm.

4-Person Scramble • $480 per team
Includes flag prizes, payout, dinner, and tickets to the concert.

Congratulations to our Executive Director, Sierra Gardner, who graduated Leadership Lincoln County yesterday. She has learned so much in the last 10 months and built relationships throughout the community that she truly treasures. 💙
