This view is looking north on Dewey St. In the back, if you look carefully, you can just see the original depot building.
On the right, there is the First National Bank building with it's tower. A block or so closer you can see the sign for the Crystal Theatre. You would not only watch moving pictures there, but also vaudeville performances.

On the left (a little faded, but there) are the tops of the McDonald State Bank building. Also on the left, but closer to the front of the picture is the IOOF Hall & the Keith Theatre Building.

Weddings, graduations, family photos, Christmas cards...we have it all in our Brown Harano collection and want to reunite you with your photos.

Brown Harano Photos can be picked up Tuesdays from 10am - 4pm. Our volunteers are ready to help you. We ask for a donation in exchange for your pictures.

Remember the museum is closed for the season, but you can still pick up your photos. Park in our parking lot, but enter through our back (east) door.

This is the Day Milling Co., located at 801 E. Front St. in 1938. When this picture was taken, the company had been in operation for 12 years. A large part of the grain they processed was used in the Sioux Lookout Products of the time.

The North Platte Canteen operated from 1941-1946 and served over 6 million service members - for free, while rationing. We want to honor and thank the communities that supported our troops & showed their patriotism.

The museum may be closed for the season, but we still have Brown Harano photo pick ups available on Tuesdays from 10am - 4pm. You will park in our parking lot as usual, but enter through our back (east) door.

We have had a wonderful response to our Brown Harano photo pick ups lately & we appreciate all the donations we have received with this fundraiser.

One more view of Hershey, this one is also undated. In 1913, there was a tornado that did damage to the Ware & Leister Hardware (just there on the left). The hardware & drug stores were left with quite a big hole in the front window area.
