The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art & Technology is dedicated to hands-on learning, creating and doing. Serving Central Ohio and surrounding communities, this museum has something for everyone! Explore science, engineering, and more on the museum's first floor. Or head to the second floor to discover the interesting history of Licking County. The Works features a Hot Glass Studio where guests

can watch the art of glass blowing. A SciDome planetarium creates an immersive experience for guests. An Art Gallery featuring a variety of exhibitions each year is also part of this family-friendly destination!

Reminder: It's almost shutdown week where we close for two weeks to perform annual maintenance and deep cleaning for the entire museum. Join us this week for the last chance to see our "How People Make Things" exhibit and explore the museum before we temporarily close.

Closed: Beginning this Saturday, Sept 5, through Monday, Sept 21.
Reopen: Tuesday, Sept 22, 10 AM-4 PM

When we reopen, we'll be gearing up for Worldwide Day of Play on Sat, Sept 26 - we can't wait!

💚Choose who gets SLIMED… at our Worldwide Day of Play event! We have a roster of brave local celebrities ready to step up to the slime booth. Do you think you know one of our Slime Stars?

The Works is joining the Association of Children's Museums and Nickelodeon's 2026 Worldwide Day of Play - a day dedicated to experiencing joyful learning through play. We're also hosting a community-wide Slime Fundraiser featuring local celebrities who have agreed to get slimed for a great cause!

Our celebrity slime stars are helping raise money for The Works and our mission to inspire creativity and wonder through extraordinary experiences.

Check out our mystery slime stars and donate to help them reach their goal of getting slimed at the event on September 26, from 11 AM-2 PM!

Come to the event to see it in person, or watch the Facebook livestream. Either way it will be a day full of fun as we celebrate the importance of play! 💚
