𝘚𝘶𝘮 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴 traces the body as it is reproduced, segmented, and perceived across mediums and through various stages of legibility. Figurative form is broken down into its component parts across digital and analog modes, treating the body and its representation as unfixed; constantly redefined.

In her interdisciplinary practice, Sophie Leonie Shantiben explores forms of connection, protection, and vulnerability. Her film photography retains a grainy, dreamlike quality, veiling her subjects in a haze of static.

In her oil paintings, Yena Seo-Yeon Park’s figures emerge and transform across fluid, atmospheric surfaces. Intuitive and emotionally charged, Park’s dreamlike work blurs silhouette and form to reflect a shifting, complicated relationship to memory, loss, and love.

Fragmented through digital interference, the bodies in Daniel McKleinfeld’s video work move constantly between states of being and levels of visibility, often dissolving and reappearing through layered visual static and graphic patterning. Combining digital and analog languages, McKleinfeld’s computer-augmented videos sit within traditional hanging frames.

Ruimin Liang’s sculptures move between programming, performance, and sculpture, exploring the body as a site of social and technological reflection. In her practice, Liang combines absurdist humor with mechanical form, using a combination of found and fabricated objects.

Howard Skrill’s works explore the representation, materiality, and afterlife of public figurative effigies. The figures, loosened through accumulation of pencil and brushstroke, hover at the threshold of clarity. In this practice, Rigid symbols of power are transformed into fluid, decaying forms.
