Tomorrow is the LAST DAY to enter the Ekphrastic Poetry Competition! Poets can still submit up to 3 poems for $10 each, all based off of an artwork of choice from our Bank of the Arts National Juried Exhibition. Artwork is available for viewing at cravenarts.org and in-person at the Bank of the Arts, located at 317 Middle Street.

This competition will not return until 2026, so please take advantage of this unique opportunity!

Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Come join the Craven Arts Council / Bank of the Arts and me Ceven Bryant, as we come together in the spirit of fellowship to finish the mural project. Even if you are not an artist, come out and commune with you neighbors, and have a great time in historic downtown New Bern.

The hearing will be held during the Governing Board's regular meeting. If you want to be herd on your beliefs, you have to first speak up, and on that note our Mayor Mayor Jeffrey Odham and City of New Bern, NC Government is giving us a chance to hold a forum and Discuss a serious issue that will equally impact all of our day to day lives. I’m asking you to go be herd, your local government is made up of real people who want to help but you have to meet them halfway.
