Audubon's Squirrels and Chestnut Print — in time for Christmas! (order by 12/19)

Audubon wasn't illustrating chestnuts.

He was illustrating squirrels in their natural habitat. In 1845, that meant an American chestnut tree. Look closer — the serrated leaves, the spiny burrs. Hiding in plain sight.
