While in the southeastern part of the state, Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig stopped in Mt. Pleasant at Midwest Old Threshers, the largest steam show in America. The iconic Iowa event attracts thousands of visitors from around the world to see antique and steam powered equipment while honoring and celebrating our agricultural heritage.

It is with very heavy hearts we blow the final whistle for another family member. Fred was a very dedicated and professional volunteer and will be missed greatly.

Our volunteers are working hard to get everything ready for the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion! Some highlights from this summer’s projects include the restoration of the Milwaukee Road Signal Tower that was originally from Washington, IA, and adding a new rotary stop sign at the pedestrian crossing at the west end of South Station.
