🐾 GET READY FOR ANOTHER WILD WEEK AT PRE-K LEARN & PLAY!

D is for...
🦮 Dog, 🐬 Dolphin, and 🪰 Dragonfly!

• TUESDAY
🐩 D is for Dog, man's best friend! We'll kickoff learning the letter D with a story about a family dog named Daisy! 'Things are Crazy with Daisy' was written by local author and elementary school teacher, Alyssa Green, and takes us on a fun adventure with her dog whose name happens to start with the letter D!
🐶 During craft time, we'll construct dogs out of the letter D!
🦴 Snack will be Scooby Snack graham crackers!

• WEDNESDAY
🐬 We'll dive deeper into the alphabet and continue with phonics, using a fun game to communicate like dolphins with echolocation!
💦🎨 Beyond learning the letter "D" we'll get creative with watercolor paints and dolphin silhouettes!
🍌 Snack will be banana dolphins!

• THURSDAY
🦋 D is for Dragonfly! We'll join up with our School's Out Walkabout friends and get crafty making bejeweled dragonfly clothespins!!

Every class begins with about 15 minutes of free play before we gather together for circle time. We’ll introduce our letter of the week and discover which animal adventure awaits us that day! 🐾

📖 After a little learning and storytime, it’s off to the craft table! 🎨 We love getting creative with mixed media, recycled & repurposed materials, sensory items, and anything else we can find to turn into something WILD! 🌿♻️

Our crafts aren’t just about creating—they’re also a chance to practice letter recognition, writing, fine-motor skills, and even writing our names on our masterpieces! ✏️💚

Once our little artists are finished, it’s time for a potty break, hand washing, and SNACK!🍎

We strive to offer fresh or organic snacks whenever possible, and we love making snack time part of the adventure! Sometimes our snacks are even themed and involve a little hands-on creativity. 😋

🌤️ When the weather cooperates, we take snack time outside! We’ll enjoy some fresh air, sensory play, and a group game or activity before heading back inside for even more fun.

And that’s just the beginning! The rest of our day is filled with games, language learning, ASL letter signing, singing, dancing, movement, exploration, and LOTS of PLAY! 🎶🕺🐾

Learning is always more fun when you can EXPLORE & PLAY, NATURE'S WAY! 🌿✨

This Monday, August 31 our Toddler Fodder class will have fun with faces while raising awareness about our beautiful multicultural world. Goofy games, music, activities, stories with both Spanish and English words and vegetarian burritos will be enjoyed together as we highlight how special each child is.

Pre-K Learn & Play continues tomorrow with the letter C for Capybara! 🤎Come learn about the world's friendliest animal!!

Thursday will be extra fun because we will wrap up the letter C with real baby chicks joining our menagerie for the morning! Sign up to get hands-on with these cute little feathered friends! 🐣🐥

🏞 Tomorrow at Pre-k Learn & Play we will learn all about the majestic Crowned Crane, as we focus on the letter 'C'

👑 Join us for lots of fun as we get crafty using our cutting skills to create our own crane crowns.

🍪 Snack will be chocolate crown cookies!

🤾‍♂️Outdoors we will use repetitive C actions where we crawl, chase, climb, and catch!

Looking for some fun for your wild little one? Look no further than our Toddler Fodder & Fun class, offered Mondays and Fridays from 9-10:30am (with an Extended Stay option until noon).

This week we'll have fun with our letters & numberd! Monday we're going on an Animal Alphabet Adventure. We'll munch on Alphabet Cheese-Its at Snack Time.

Friday we'll do some counting and additon skills and dig into some watermelon at Snack Time! 🍉
