Love seeing our volunteers in action! 💦⚓
Give our volunteers a power washer, a water de-ionizer, and one of our historic vessels, and they’ll have it looking like new in no time. Keeping the museum and our boats looking their best takes a lot of hard work, and we’re so grateful for the dedicated volunteers who make it happen.

What an incredible summer it's been! 🌊

Our FREE Maritime Explorers Summer STEM Program was filled with hands-on learning, new friendships, and unforgettable adventures by the bay. From exploring maritime history to meeting local experts and discovering marine life, our young explorers made memories that will last a lifetime.

🌊🦀 One of the highlights of our Maritime Explorers Summer STEM Program was a visit from the Central Coast Aquarium and their touch tide pool!

Our young explorers had the opportunity to get up close with fascinating marine life, learn about the incredible creatures that call our coast home, and experience hands-on learning in a fun and engaging way.

A big thank you to the Central Coast Aquarium for bringing this interactive experience to the museum and inspiring the next generation of ocean stewards! 💙

What a wonderful day of learning and creativity! 🌿✨

Our Maritime Explorers had the opportunity to learn from members of the Salinan Tribe, exploring traditional practices through hands-on activities. The kids experienced grinding rocks, learned about Salinan culture, and created their own beautiful dream catchers to take home.

Thank you to the Salinan Tribe for sharing your knowledge, traditions, and time with our young explorers. Experiences like these help connect children to the rich cultural history of the Central Coast in meaningful and memorable ways.
