✨ Did you know your body gives off its own tiny glow? ✨

It may sound like science fiction, but it’s actually science! Every day, our cells produce an incredibly faint light through normal metabolic processes. This phenomenon, known as ultra-weak photon emission (sometimes called human bioluminescence), happens when naturally occurring molecules inside our cells release tiny amounts of light during chemical reactions.

The glow is about 1,000 times too faint for the human eye to see, but with specialized scientific equipment, researchers have detected it! While we can’t see ourselves glowing like fireflies or glowing jellyfish, it’s an amazing reminder that our bodies are constantly buzzing with life and energy.

🌟 At Camp Glow, we’ll explore the incredible science of light through hands-on STEAM activities inspired by nature’s brightest wonders—from bioluminescent organisms to fluorescence, phosphorescence, and the fascinating ways light interacts with the world around us.

Our first week open and launching of our Play It Forward campaign as the artist-in-residence was a success!

We’ve donated 55 computers to families through our Connected Learning, and Compudot partnership.

We welcomed 16 play dates from 3 different states and hosted 14 future scientists from the Word of God summer program in our newly renovated STEAM Werx Center, a Slime Laboratory and Makerspace addition to our program offerings at 1 Court Square .

We’ve raised $1.1k in July so far! Let’s keep going
