Paranormal Experience Group Therapy may be able to help you cope…
Hey everyone! We're excited to announce another round of Group Therapy for Paranormal Experiences (via telehealth). This is a safe, confidential and supportive space for people who want to process and better understand their experiences.
The group is facilitated by two licensed therapists:
(me) Ryan Buell, M.Ed., LPC and Darin Wallis, Ph.D., LMFT.
We started this group because we feel there is a great need for people to explore, process and understand their experiences through the lens of therapy.
We know many people are hesitant to divulge their experiences to their therapist, out of fear of being misdiagnosed or even judged. Likewise, we know there are many out there who don't feel safe sharing their experiences with anyone.
This is what group is for.
The next round of group will begin August 17th/August 24th. It will be virtual through telehealth!
Right now we can only provide group therapy to residents in the following states: ALABAMA, UTAH, NORTH CAROLINA, SOUTH CAROLINA, COLORADO, WEST VIRGINIA & TEXAS. However, residents of PENNSYLVANIA can also apply for later groups down the road, as we are in the process of obtaining licensure.
If you'd like to apply to be a part of the group or learn more, visit: https://www.paranormaltherapy.org
Please feel free to repost or share if you feel others on your page may want to learn about this!
WHAT IS GROUP THERAPY?
Group therapy is the therapeutic practice of having one or more therapists that run a group of patients through weekly or biweekly sessions. This group will run for eight weekly sessions. Each session is virtual and will run approximately 90-120 minutes.
ABOUT PARANORMAL GROUP THERAPY:
Our group therapy is meant to allow a variety of people to come together and discuss issues and topics of interest in a therapeutic setting with therapeutic direction. For people in the paranormal community, many of the experiences from our past can be shared with others with similar experiences. Some folks will have histories with the paranormal that are dark, some might be more neutral or pleasant, some will have had to deal with these occurrences on numerous occasions, and some experiences may be taking place right now. Ryan and Dr. Darin Wallis are hopeful that we can create a space that all group members will be able to share their experiences, be supportive to other group members’ histories, and learn from one another in a therapeutic way. The ultimate goal is to be helpful to group members. Some folks will have more to say than others, but Ryan and Dr. Darin will encourage all group members to participate at whatever level is comfortable and beneficial.
You don't have to navigate these experiences alone anymore!
