Exciting news!
Thanks to the hard work of classic car, low rider and other custom car people along with the high profile work of Jay Leno's Garage, the law making it easier to restore and keep your classic car on the road was signed by the Governor today.
Congrats to all that helped make this happen and it's a happy day for classic cars.

Well, we finally got it done!

Leno’s Law has officially been signed into law by Governor Gavin Newsom. It’s been a long time coming, and I’m incredibly grateful to Senator Dave Cortese and Senator Shannon Grove for working together to get this across the finish line.

This is a big day for California’s car community. We’re preserving a piece of automotive history while recognizing that a collector car isn’t the same thing as a daily driver.

If you can get a Democrat and a Republican into the same garage, eventually something’s going to start!

Thanks to everyone who supported this effort along the way. Now let’s go enjoy some old cars.
